"Wow! For a second there I thought that the magazine was back. This is a cool project tho'. I loved the teaser. Please post bulletins when the movie comes out."
-Lucas Maragnon, Star Wars Tales Artist
7-04-08: New additions to the gallery, but this time instead of pictures of new customs it's some photos of the humble display I made for my custom figures. Just thought some of you might like to check it out. By the way, to all you Americans out there, have a great Fourth of July!
7-08-08: Well, I did it again. For presentation is maybe the last SWT custom figure forever, but I'm not going to jump the gun last time and say it is for sure. If there is another it'll probably be a vehicle custom and that's it. I'm going to have to finish the hoards of Marvel Legends customs I'm half-way through that I never finished. Anyway, Tusk: Kalee Warrior was the latest edition in the custom gallery, so check it out.
7-12-08: Since I just wrapped up Prevolutionary last week (massive sigh of releif) and am going full speed ahead on Heart of Steel, I thought I'd put up five new pictures for you guys to enjoy. In other Star Wars news, plot summary for the Clone Wars movie was released, some very positive reviews for an episode of the TV series have poped up, a great launch trailer for The Force Unleashed came out, and the same Clone Wars trailer from Hulk (great movie) is being shown in front of Hellboy II (even greater movie!) now.
Forums
7-23-08: My favorite forums of all time, the forums from amateur filmaking website thebrb.com, are back. If you went to the old website you might remeber the Star Wars Tales forums that were attached to the Big Red Button. Well, since the forums are back, the Star Wars Tales section is now back and I can use that as a makeshift forum. All posts after May 2006 have been deleted but it's essentially the same. There was never much activity there in the first place, but I'll leave a link here just in case any are interested. If there's any demand I can make a better forum, but I serious doubt the demand will be there. By the way to all Star Wars fans make sure you get out to your Toys r Us at midnight on Friday night to get the new Clone Wars and Legacy figures first! Go to the Hasbro website to learn more.
7-28-08: Quick new addition to the cast and crew page. Midnight madness was hella fun btw.
7-30-08: Here it is and I really do mean it this time. The last Star Wars Tales custom EVER- Taykla's starship, the Mjolnir. In case you doubt me, I only have left to film a starship shot and the final frame (you thought I was going to tell it to you, didn't you?). This really isn't bittersweet- I still have a lot to do in post for this film and I have Marvel customs to do. Sixteen days until Clone Wars and congrats to the Forcecast for the Comiccon win!
8-13-08: I have some small updates in leiu of the BIG even happening only TWO DAYS from today! First up the downloads page has been facelifted, and new additions to the cast and crew page (including great composer Brian Salder, who has a website at www.briansadler.org
8-15-08: The day has come. The day many never thought would happen again (especially so soon). Finally, a new Star Wars movie has hit the big screen! STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS comes out TODAY, which means you must run, not walk, to your nearest cinema and experience the power of the Force. I don't care what a bunch of elitist critics and bitchy internet users say- it's Star Wars. That alone is enough for a viewing (maybe two).
8-16-08: I know my opinion isn't going to change anyone, but since I was already talking about it I too saw Clone Wars today and enjoyed it. Overall it's defiantly better suited for television but it still manages to be an entertaining and fun ride. The movie kind of flows, speaks, and feels like an average Star Wars comic book. The aspect I liked least was the banter between Anakin and Ahsoka. While it adds spirit to these characters, I thought it was a bit much and took me out of the movie quite a bit. The rest was just fine to me. For me it was defiantly worth the viewing and the series can only get better. 8/10 from me.
